Room was a single size there was no room to get out of one side of the bed.The noise from neighbours went on all night , every night don't stay here if you want some sleep!
We liked its situation, right in the center of lively Jaca. The rooms were very nice and the breakfast excellent.
Hotel Mur was in an excellent location opposite the castle, close to shopping and restaurants. It was well placed for exploring the rest of the countryside, breakfast was good value and the room was quite lovely as was the whole hotel especially being open since 1875.
No parking available.
Superb location. Four separate beds for the family room. Great buffet continental breakfast. Really nice ambiance - historic building with evidence of being restored on a shoestring budget but much better this than to be run by a chain. Wi-fi was good in public area. Great restaurant (Biarritz) just round the corner and the centre of Jaca on the doorstep. Parking in the town's central below-ground car park was easy and only a five-minute walk away. Would stay here again.
The hotel was very simply furnished but at this price to be expected. Would not recommend this for anyone who likes and expects Hotel Mercure standards. Our family room faced away from the street and had no view which was a shame as the ones on the front looked lovely, but we had two windows providing a through-flow of air and the noise of nearby airconditioning (the next building we think) wasn't really a problem.
The hotel was plain and down to earth. good value for money. would use again.
I've stayed at this hotel before on a previous motorcycling holiday and would use it again. It is nicely situated at the foot of the Pyrenees and an easy run from Santander or Bilbao. The restaurant is basic but very good value. They do not have secure motorcycle parking but nobody seems to mind you parking up against the wall by the main entrance.
We were a group of 3 men and 2 women just off an international overnight flight, driving from Barcelona to a vacation house in the pyrenees, booked into a double and a triple. Comfortable beds, good showers, excellent breakfast, served late (until 10am). Within walking distance of many restaurants and cafes, and the very interesting church and ciudad. Free parking for the car not too far away, with a place just outside to unload and load luggage. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. All of us thought this hotel met our needs very well at a very reasonable price.
Street noise with windows open in room at front of hotel, including partying passers-by. Not loud enough to keep us awake.
The location was ideal as we were going to visit friends in France and it was a good halfway stop. The staff were helpful and the food was good. We enjoyed our stay and had no hesitation to book it for our return journey.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Reception was efficient. I got the room on the ground floor that I had reserved. Although small everything in the bathroom worked. The room although over furnished was spotless. The room maids clearly take a pride in their job. The restaurant staff spoke no English but went to great efforts to find an English speaker to translate the menu. Hotel Mur is at the edge of the pedestrian zone of Jaca and has a number of reserved parking spaces. It is about 100 metres from the cathedral
Hardly something that affected my stay but the room decoration was bizarre. The concept of design, pastel shades and co-ordinated tiling was very good but the work was done so amateur in execution. The rose wall paint has sort of drifted in places to daubs on the white ceiling. How could the supervisor sign off such a poor job? It is really sad, as this is the only adverse thing I can comment on.
It was advertised as free parking close by but this was impossible to find so the public car parked € 16.90 a day.We could have stayed at another Hotel plus free parking for the same price. This spoilt our stay having to walk with luggage to the carpark.
The location was unbeatable. The breakfast buffet was excellent.
The advertisement for the hotel said there was AC. There was none in our room. Fortunately we didn´t need it.
